Year 2 Birch class - Recorder
This term, Birch class have had the wonderful opportunity to learn to play a new instrument - the recorder. They have worked hard, learning how to make a nice sound with the instrument, begin to read written music to work out where their fingers should go and play different notes. Year 2 have really enjoyed singing this minibeast song! After learning to sing it, we chose instruments which we thought matched the movement or sound of each insect in the song. We had to be ready to play our instrument out when our minibeast was mentioned in the song and sing at the same time! Great multitasking Year 2!

Year 5 - Off with her head play script
Listen to this conversation between Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, written and performed by one of our wonderful Year 5 pupils. She has brought her play script to life by making puppets, altering character voices and including significant background information. Fantastic.
